WALKING FROM JAFFA TO BERLIN

Distance is a numerical description of how far apart objects are. It may refer to a physical length between two points or to theoretical matrices of codes, space and time. But it can also express emotional differences between human beings, cultures and environments.
In this project Roee asked Google Map Navigation to navigate him from his home in Jaffa to Avi’s home in Berlin, through the shortest walking route. Google Map Navigation was used as a tool to raise and merge both politic and mental questions. Is it really going to take me 973 Hrs to Walk 5,540 km? Who actually walks thousands of Kilometers by foot these days?
